Central Coast Cooking Show

is a long standing experience in San Luis Obispo County. The concept was a combination of Brigitte Faulkner’s entreprenurial style and her long time associate, Don Idler of Idlers Appliances. The show took some time to materialize into a routine monthly ticketed show, and has now become a staple event to the CCPH brand!

How does the show operate?

The show is on Tuesdays, once a month from 4:30-6:30pm, Feb-June and then again Sept-Nov and takes place at Idlers Home in Paso Robles, California. Guests purchase tickets to the show to sit in the VIP seating or Dining Table seating. VIP seating means sitting at the counter where you have a full viewing of the Guest Chef that month cooking and even offering information and answering questions about what they are cooking and how to cook it. Dining Table seating is a lovely experience as well with a group of diners just like you who came to share good conversation while dining and drinking the best wines our town has to offer. The show has grown in the last year into a monthly pop up of sorts with NPOs representing their brand, vendors including food makers like The Vreamery, The Groves on 41, and more. Additionally, we bring in Guest Wineries & Breweries like Brochelle Vineyards and Cal Coast Beer each month who consult with the Chef ahead of time to create wine and beer pairings to accentuate your fabulous meal. The meal is enjoyed by being greeted upon entrance of Idlers with Sparkling Wine or Wine. Guests can look around Idlers until our monthly scavenger hunt where tickets for another show can be won. At 5pm, guests are seated and met with an appetizer course and the first wine pairing. This goes on for 4 to 5 courses ( including dessert!) while vendors talk about their brand. Sometimes, we are fortunate to have live music as well by artists like Dave Tate music or The Ken Show.
